Long Terms 

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.  Please retain a copy for your information. 

The personal data provided by entrants will only be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the promotion and at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at https://beavertownbrewery.co.uk/pages/privacy-policy).  From time to time, the Promoter may share entrants’ personal data with their agents/representatives to assist with administering the promotion and contacting entrants (as necessary) and/or fulfilling the prize(s).

  1. Promotion Term, who can take part and how to take part 

  1. The promotion opens at 09.00 on 6th August 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 17th August 2025. 

  1. Only open to residents in the UK aged 18 or over, excluding employees of any company in the Heineken group and any person whom, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, should be excluded due to their involvement or connection with this promotion. 

  1. To enter click the link in the Promoter’s adverts for the competition across various channels including social channels and digital media. The link will take participants to the entry form on the Promoter’s website: https://beavertownbrewery.co.uk/pages/hot-air-skulloon-competition. Participants must enter their name, date of birth, email address, address, contact number, confirm their availability on the flight date being 23rd August 2025 and answer the question: ‘what’s holding you back from living your never normal dream?’. Entry is limited to one per person. No purchase necessary to enter. 

  1. Prize Details 

  1. There is 1 (one) prize to be won.  The prize is a flight in the “The Skulloon Tavern”, being a hot air balloon themed like a pub, for the winner plus one guest. The Promoter will supply a controlled amount of Beavertown beer (Neck Oil, Satellite and Lazer Crush) to be enjoyed as part of the flight, which will be served in the hot air balloon basket. Those that arrive to the flight under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to take part in the flight. See clause 3 for more detail on the applicable safety and operational requirements. 

  1. Subject to suitable weather conditions, the flight will take place on the evening of 23rd August 2025. The exact time of the flight will be confirmed to the winner on the day before the flight. The flight location will be in the general area of Bath and Bristol, with the exact location to be confirmed during week commencing 18th August 2025. The winner must be available and able to travel to either of these areas. 

  1. The prize also includes (for the winner and their guest):- 

  • travel to the flight location on the day of the flight from the winner’s home address in the UK comprising (i) standard class train ticket; and (ii) taxi from the train station to the flight location; and 

  • one night in a hotel (one hotel room) on the date of the flight, including dinner.   

No other mode of transport will be offered by the Promoter and any transportation costs incurred directly by the winner in connection with claiming the prize will not be covered or reimbursed by the Promoter. 

  1. Participants acknowledge and accept that hot air balloon flights are dependent on favourable weather conditions. If the flight cannot take place on 23rd August 2025, the Promoter will attempt to re-arrange, up to a maximum of 3 times, an alternative flight date with the Flight Operator (defined in clause 4 below) falling before the end of September 2025. The winner must be available to make the flight on the rescheduled date otherwise the prize will be forfeited. 

  1. The flight will be delivered by The Hot Air Balloon Company (Global) Ltd (“the Flight Operator”), which company owns the hot air balloon which will be used to fulfil the prize.  

  1. Risk and Safety and Operational Requirements 

  1. By participating in the hot air balloon flight, the winner and their guest acknowledge the inherent risks of the activity. The Flight Operator is solely responsible for the safety and operation of the flight and for having appropriate insurance in place. The Promoter is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage suffered as a result of the flight. 

  1. In the interest of safety and operational requirements, the Flight Operator cannot undertake the carriage of passengers (i) whose declared weight exceeds 90kg each or a combined total of 180kg for two people; or (ii) are pregnant or under the influence of drugs or have consumed alcohol or have recently undergone surgery or have any medical condition that their GP would deem unsuitable for flying, either physical or mental. The Flight Operator reserves the right to refuse to undertake the carriage of any passengers who it has reason to believe do not meet the stated safety and operational requirements. By entering the promotion, entrants acknowledge and accept the stated safety and operational requirements. 

  1. Winner and Notification 

  1. The winner will be chosen at random by a random generator. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners using methods such as AI and manual verification processes and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw a prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.  The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into.   

  1. The winner will be notified by email and telephone by 19th August 2025.  If the winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw and select a new winner. This process will be followed up to a maximum of 3 times to determine a winner. 

  1. Winner details will be available from press@beavertownbrewery.co.uk from 1st September 2025 until 30th September 2025.  By entering the promotion, each entrant acknowledges that in the event of a win their surname and county of residence may be disclosed to persons enquiring, where permitted by law. Any entrant may object to their information being made available in this way or may request that the amount of information made available be reduced, by contacting the Promoter using the contact details at the end of these terms and conditions. In these circumstances, the entrant acknowledges that the Promoter may nevertheless disclose the relevant information, and the entrant’s entry, to the Advertising Standards Authority (and/or any other competent authority) if required to do so. By way of example, this may happen where the Promoter is required to demonstrate it has awarded any advertised prizes.  

  1. General 

  1. Entries must be made personally. Entries made through agents/third parties, bulk entries or automated entries are invalid.  No multiple entries from a single IP address will be valid.  The promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible or delayed entries, such entries will be void.  Proof of sending is not proof of receipt and promoter does not accept any responsibility for the non receipt or the late receipt of message due to operator or network failure or for any associated costs to entrants.  No entries submitted via any other means will be accepted.  The promoter cannot guarantee uninterrupted or secure access to the web entry route.  Any mechanical reproduction or automated entries is prohibited, and any use of such automated devices will cause disqualification.   

  1. There is no cash or other alternative to these prizes in whole or in part.  Prizes are not transferable. The Promoter reserves the right to reclaim the prize if it is transferred. 

  1. The decision of the promoter in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. 

  1. The promoter is not responsible for any third party acts or omissions. 

  1. The Promoter cannot guarantee that the flight will be free from disruptions, failings or cancellations.  The Promoter is not liable for such disruptions, failings or cancellations unless they are caused by our negligence. 

  1. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond its control.   

  1. The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta and Meta is not responsible to entrants in respect of any aspect of this promotion. 

  1. All taxes (including without limitation national & local taxes) in connection with any prize & the reporting consequence thereof, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. 

  1. These rules and any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.  The Promoter and each entrant irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with these rules or the legal relationships established by this agreement.
