Non-alcoholic beer

There’s so many reasons why you might want to sip a low or no-alcohol beer. Maybe you’re the designated driver of the group but still want to enjoy a great-tasting beer at the pub. You might just fancy a beer after a long day but not want the alcohol. Maybe you’re watching your calorie intake and an alcohol-free Beavertown is a great way to enjoy a brew with fewer calories. Either way, no matter your reason for trying them out, an alcohol-free or low ABV beer from Beavertown is a great way to get all your favourite hoppy flavours and mouth-watering bitterness without the alcohol. And because alcohol-free beer is made the exact same way as regular beer (with a few clever tricks to remove the alcohol), you still get to enjoy that great craft beer flavour you know and love.

Alcohol Free Beer FAQs

Yes and no. This is a tricky question. In order for beer to legally be labelled as alcohol-free, it has to have an ABV of 0.5% or lower. So technically it’s not 0.0%. And it’s rare for any alcohol free beer to have absolutely 0% alcohol. But on the other hand, 0.5% is still less alcohol as a slice of white bread (up to 1.9%). So… we’ll leave the judgement up to you.

You might be thinking “Great! That means I can have an alcohol free beer while pregnant! Christmas isn’t ruined!” But we’re here to burst your bubble. Because of the presence of ethanol in the beer making process, even alcohol free beers are best avoided while you grow a human. Sorry.

If you don’t drink alcohol for religious reasons, it’s best to avoid even non-alcoholic beer. Unless the beer definitely contains 0.0% ABV or is halal approved, it’s unfortunately not halal.

A lot of brewers brew up a regular beer and then use a special method to de-alcoholise it. They basically just remove the alcohol once it’s been brewed. But we use a special kind of yeast that does all the fermenting of a regular beer but doesn’t produce alcohol. Clever huh?

You potentially could. But it’d take a looooooooooot of beer. It’s pretty much impossible. No, that’s not a challenge.

It basically tastes the same as regular beer. You don’t get the alcoholic tang, obvs. But an alcohol free beer has all the same hoppy flavours and mouth-watering bitterness and refreshing taste we know and love.

Sometimes you don’t want the alcohol. Or maybe you’re the designated driver. Or need to drink less for health reasons. Or sometimes you just want something lighter than a regular beer. There’s plenty of reasons you might want to sip on an alcohol free beer.
