Just Landed: 8 Ball and Smog Rocket

INTRODUCING 8 BALL

Are you going to enjoy 8 Ball, the latest beer from Beavertown? Our guess is ‘It is decidedly so’, ‘Without a doubt’ and ‘Ask again later’. A lot of people are asking whether we’ve made the beer by draining the psychic fluid from a Magic 8 Ball, and sadly the answer is no.

SO HOW HAVE YOU MADE IT?

Well we’ve made it by smashing together a delicious mix of spicy rye and zesty, citrussy hops to create a 6.2% American-style West Coast beer that’s as dry as the Nevada Desert.

HOW SHOULD WE DRINK IT? 

Ideally it’s to be drunk whilst wearing a 10 gallon hat, sat on a horse, staring at a canyon.

INTRODUCING smog rocket

All aboard the Smog Rocket! One of the first beers ever brewed at the Dukes Brew & Que, where Beavertown was born. Smog Rocket was inspired by Industrial Old London, using dark malts to create a 5.6% intensely smoky, savoury London Porter. 

HOW SHOULD WE DRINK IT?

To be drunk with a tender beef brisket, whilst Bill Sykes blows pipe smoke in your face and his dog Bullseye worries the legs of your trousers. 

DO YOU HAVE TO BE IN LONDON TO DRINK IT? 

Absolutely not. There are no roaming charges applied to this beer. 

INTRODUCING...something else

Keep an eye out for the forthcoming BLACK BETTY. This is our take on old penny sweet shops – think handfuls of fruit salads & Blackjacks. She’s going to be making an appearance in some of our Winter Beer Cases over Christmas...watch this space!

How does it taste?

A black IPA packed with tropical fruit flavours, offset with liquorice and chocolatey malts. Not for the faint hearted. 

HOW DARK ARE WE TALKING?

Darker than a snowman’s thoughts as the sun comes up. Darker than an astronaut’s dreams after 350 days in space. Dark.
