BREAK THE NORM. TALK ABOUT IT.

Over half of adults in the UK have pretended to be okay just to avoid talking about their mental health. Sometimes it feels easier to just clench your teeth, grin and bear it, and hide behind a veneer of ‘Okay’.

At Beavertown, we believe in living without fear of judgement and saying exactly how we feel. And we reckon it’s about time we stopped bottling things up.

So together with suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), we’re taking a big old sledgehammer to the idea that staying silent is normal. We want to show people a better, braver way.

From the small gestures that matter, to the big moves that really make a difference – we’ll be working together to encourage people to open up, speak out and get talking.

Open up to a mate. Be honest. Tell them how you’re actually doing...

Break the norm. Talk about it.

WHO ARE CAMPAIGN AGAINST LIVING MISERABLY?

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is uniting the UK against suicide.

1 in 4 of us will have suicidal thoughts in our lifetime, and every day 18 people in the UK take their own lives. CALM exists to change this - by offering life-saving support, creating culture changing campaigns, and bringing people together across the country to reject living miserably.

Get practical help looking after your head. The CALMzone app is full of science-backed support to help you feel better, including ways to track your mood, manage panic and anxiety, and deal with some of life’s tough stuff.

Tell A Mate Why You Love Them This Valentine’s

3 in 5 men in the UK have never told their mates they love them. It’s easy for feelings to get hidden beneath a deluge of banter, which is when things start to bottle up. And that’s not healthy. Because mates need love too.

Which is why we’re reclaiming Valentine’s Day for the mates, not just for the couples.
